Testimonial on NANO installed at the Avignon University Institute of Technology for teaching and practical work
“In the Biological Engineering – SAB course at the GB Department of the Avignon University Institute of Technology, students implement real bioproduction processes.
In their second year, they produce ethanol using Saccharomyces cerevisiae yeast, and in their third year, they produce astaxanthin, a powerful antioxidant used in cosmetics, from Haematococcus pluvialis microalgae.
The programme includes: choosing strains, inoculating bioreactors, selecting culture media and conditions, implementing controls and regulations, monitoring cultures and calculating bioproduction yields.”
