Your automatised production

Production made easy

For aquaculture professionals

Aware of the challenges involved in microalgae production in hatcheries and aquaculture, we design photobioreactors that simplify feeding for your farms thanks to easier, more economical production that is available all year round.

Resistant to saline environments and fully automated, they enable the production of high-quality, highly concentrated biomass.

Production in our photobioreactors offers:

  • Space savings on your site by reducing volumes,
  • Time savings for your teams and for cultures,
  • Effort savings by reducing the arduousness of daily tasks,
  • Efficiency savings with reliable cultures that last several months,
  • Financial savings with lower operating costs.

Challenges associated with phytoplankton production

Phytoplankton production remains an ongoing challenge for hatcheries and nurseries, with biological, technical and human constraints.

Since 2017, we have been supporting aquaculture professionals on a daily basis. Their feedback highlights recurring difficulties that directly impact farm performance:

  • Unstable or unpredictable productivity
  • Variable biomass quality
  • Frequent contamination
  • High workload
  • Physically demanding tasks
  • Need for large production space

All these factors complicate day-to-day management and limit the reliability of phytoplankton supply.

Our solutions

An automated and efficient system

Our turnkey photobioreactors are specially designed to meet the requirements of aquaculture farmers, taking into account the specific challenges of production environments.

Automated and highly productive, they ensure continuous biomass production for several months, with consistent quality, without contamination and with minimal intervention from operational teams.

When changing strains, automated cleaning allows for a quick restart with a perfectly clean reactor, in total safety.

JUMBO Stella Mare

Example with JUMBO

The JUMBO photobioreactor is designed to meet the requirements of hatcheries and aquaculture units with high phytoplankton demand. For example, JUMBO enables:

  • Up to 20 times more concentrated biomass, significantly reducing the volume of water required for semi-continuous culture
  • High-quality microalgae that can increase larval survival and growth by up to 8 times
  • A more concentrated harvest, reducing handling and reducing musculoskeletal disorders by 50 to 80%
  • An automated system (including cleaning) limiting working time to 2 hours/week, compared to 20 hours for traditional systems

In terms of optimisation:

  • One 285 litres JUMBO replaces up to 5000 litres of traditional cultures
  • Only 4 m2 are required, compared to around 25 m2 for a conventional system

Finally, its biological efficiency allows for a quick start-up: 100 ml of inoculum is enough to start 285 litres, reducing the time to production by up to two weeks.

Continuous support

From installation to the first cultures, our team supports you at every stage to ensure the success of your production:

  • An evaluation of your objectives and personalised advice
  • Quick and easy installation on your site
  • Comprehensive training adapted to your teams
  • Efficient start-up of the photobioreactors
  • Dedicated support for your first harvests

In the long term, our photobioreactors are designed as industrial tools, CE-certified and easily repairable. Our team supports you whenever you need it: maintenance, after-sales service and availability of spare parts to ensure the long-term performance of your installations.
