Testimonial on NANO installed at CPE Lyon, as part of the Biotechnology Engineering (EBS – European Biotechnology for Sustainability) and Chemical and Process Engineering (CGP) degree programmes
” The first use of photobioreactors at CPE Lyon took place as part of scientific projects carried out by fourth-year students on the Process Engineering degree programme.
By combining the cultivation of different algal strains with analytical methods for measuring gases and metals, they were able to assess the potential of microalgae for carbon capture and pollution removal.
This work enabled them to address, in practical terms, the challenges of bioprocesses and the utilisation of microalgae in the context of the green transition.
This first experience paves the way for future practical work and projects as part of CPE Lyon’s new biotechnology engineering programme, EBS (European Biotechnology for Sustainability).
We are delighted to collaborate with Synoxis Algae on this project.
The photobioreactor is ideally suited for use in an educational setting and for student projects. The support provided by the Synoxis Algae team is of the highest standard. The team is responsive and approachable, they answered our questions promptly and provided effective guidance as we got to work with the equipment.”
